I’m a professional Argentinian-tango dancer; I was born in Comodoro Rivadavia, in Patagonia, Argentina, and I lived in the city of Neuquén since I was 7 until I was 20.
In my childhood I learnt dancing, (classical and folklore), music (I played the piano and did percussion) and theatre-acting. When I was 20 I decided to come to Buenos Aires to study design. Once here, dazzled by the big city I came across tango. Being a tango-dancer was not in my plans until I took the first classes. It was then when I realized that this was going to be my career. To my surprise in less than a year I was already giving my first show in Sunderland Club.
I started studying tango-dance in 1994 dealing with different styles: Social tango, dancing-hall tango (tango salón) and modern tango. Since then I’ve been a regular visitor at the main milongas in Buenos Aires and I’ve been a partner of the greatest, most reputed “maestros milongueros”.
Since 1996 I’ve been working as a teacher of tango-dance, first as an assistant of best known teachers and since 2000 I’ve directed my own classes all the year round in Capital Federal, the provinces and other countries of the world.
As a choreographer and director I presented two annual shows called “Ayer” (Yesterday) in 2005 and “Romeo y Julieta” (Romeo and Juliet) in 2006.
With Professor Carlos Gavito I shared an exhibition and worked in the film “Exiled in Heavens”
I’ve been invited to the International Tango Festivals in Bariloche, Rio de Janeiro and to various European cities. I have danced in shows complementing the performance of famous orchestras, among them “El Sexteto Mayor”, “Color Tango”, “Los Reyes del Tango”, “El Arranque” and “El Sexteto Milonguero”
The Association of Teachers, Choreographers and Dancers appointed me Member of the Jury in both the Metropolitan Championship for “Tango Salón” exclusive for Citizens of “Capital Federal” and for the World Tango Championship.
My objectives are to transmit my knowledge, culture and dance all over the world and follow the advice of a good friend:
